THE THIRD SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

THE GROUP'S COMMITMENT TO ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY, PROTECTION AND ENHANCEMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND PRODUCT INNOVATION CONTINUES IN 2021

The third Sustainability Report for the year 2021 for the Giorgetti Group, with its two brands Giorgetti and Battaglia, has been published.

During 2021, the Group returned to talk about its projects in-person, with the opening of new stores in Los Angeles, Casablanca and in China, and the signing of an important partnership with Hyundai Livart in Korea. Not only offline news: 2021 saw the launch of e-commerce in Italy and the redesigning of the Giorgetti and Battaglia websites with the aim of improving customer experience and service, central to the company's distribution strategy.

Despite the complexities resulting from the health crisis, the Group invested in quality and innovation, looking to the future: sustainability means product durability, and the Group has always sought to develop objects that can increase their value over time.

2021 saw not only product awards, but also acknowledgements for the entrepreneurial vision, for the results achieved and for having faced the evolving emergency situation in a conscious and responsible way, protecting the health of employees and guaranteeing operational continuity in complete safety. In the human resources area, moreover, both compulsory and continuous learning training projects were implemented and the Adotta una Scuola Altagamma’s project was welcomed in collaboration with the Centro di Formazione Professionale Giuseppe Terragni in Meda, with the desire to maintain a strong link with the territory and encourage the recruitment of young talents, strengthening the relationship between school and industry.

Also in the environmental sustainability field, Giorgetti renewed its commitment: in addition to the guidelines in place aimed at reducing the pollution generated by company’s processes, the Group launched an initiative to repopulate the woods in the Meda area with the #ReForest project, and the procedures to obtain the FSC® certification (License Code FSC-C175823) started.
